I've written a Worldwide Brands review before, which goes into more detail about the WWB product itself, but I want to take this opportunity to compare Worldwide Brands to Salehoo, another drop shipper and wholesaler directory that set up about six years after WWB was founded in 1999.
What is Salehoo?
Salehoo is a directory very much like Worldwide Brands – it lists about 8,000 certified wholesalers and drop shippers, and from them there are about 1.5 million products that are available to search through online in the members area.
Salehoo was founded in 2005 and comes with some extras as well as directory access, including tutorials, forum access and market research tools. It costs $67 per year.
How does it compare to Worldwide Brands?
Salehoo has about the same number of suppliers as WWB, but significantly fewer products are listed in their database – only 1.5 million compared to Worldwide Brands which has over 16 million as of 2017.
Both directories work only with certified suppliers, but Worldwide Brands is the only directory of the two that offers an explicit guarantee that all of their suppliers are reliable.
Finally, Salehoo has an annual fee while Worldwide Brands has a one off fee. This makes Salehoo cheaper in the short term, but potentially much more expensive in the long term.
